On a rainy, windy morning in Atlanta, Georgia, well-known ultra-runner and best-selling author, Dean Karnazes, along with more than 50 hardy runners, ran the ING Georgia Marathon course on Friday, October 27th. The 26.2 mile course was Dean’s 41st running of a marathon in so many days. Only nine more before he ends his 50 day campaign
on Sunday, November 5th at the ING New York City Marathon.
Dean took a fall in the early miles of the run this morning, but shook it off to finish strong a little over 4 hours later at the future site of the ING Georgia Marathon finish line near Woodruff Park in Atlanta. All the fellow finishers joined Dean a bit later at Underground Atlanta where he spent time chatting with everyone, signing books and taking pictures.
The ING Georgia Marathon is proud to announce that Dean will be back on March 25th, 2007 to run in the inaugural race and participate at scheduled events at the ING Georgia Marathon Health & Fitness Expo. Visit our Expo page for details!
