Running Community

The ING Georgia Marathon & Half Marathon is proud to be a new part of the expansive Atlanta and Georgia running community.  The community is comprised of numerous running clubs, running specialty stores, charity organizations, marathon training programs and other running affiliations.  Please visit our running community buttons and thank you for the support!

RRCAThe Road Runners Club of America is a non-profit organization of over 700 running clubs and 175,000 members across the United States. The RRCA chapters organize races, have training runs, provide safety guidelines, promote children's and masters fitness running programs, and have social programs. USATFUSA Track & Field (USATF) is the National Governing Body for track and field, long-distance running and race walking in the United States. USATF encompasses the world's oldest organized sports, the most-watched events of Olympic broadcasts, the #1 high school and junior high school participatory sport and more than 30 million adult runners in the United States.  Led by President Bill Roe and CEO Craig Masback, USATF is a volunteer-driven, not-for-profit organization with a staff of professional program administrators at the National Office in Indianapolis. USATF Marathon ChampionshipThe ING Georgia Marathon is a USATF Certified Course (#GA07006WC) and a Boston Marathon Qualifier.

GP LogoThe Run & See Georgia Grand Prix Series, in its seventeenth year, includes nearly 300 races all over the state of Georgia.  The series began as a way to get Georgia's runners to travel and race around the state to see what other areas have to offer, both in racing and tourist attractions.  Points are awarded at each of the races to the top 20 finishers in various age groups.  The ING Georgia Marathon & Half Marathon is a part of the 2007 Run & See Georgia Grand Prix Series.  Visit www.georgiarunner.com for more information.
